Im not an animal drawer, but it was fun and some good practice. My favorites was pretty much the birds and Girraffes. I like birds since their shape is more geometric and straight forward. The giraffes is inspired by Honey and clover where Haggu stared at the giraffe a long time. Also the sketches are darker then usual, since blue pencil is not friendly with the scanner. And also, I felt more relax as I tried to think like Hagu, and to really observe it more.
The main reason I went was to say hi to a guy named RJ Palmer AKA arvalis. You might recognize his works better

He attended art academy and he lives in the bay area. It was the whole time awkward. As my usual instinct, when I first meet people, Im a bit shy, , until I hang out more. Fortunately the hanging out more and talking with him didn't happen that much, because I lost the sketching crowd at the Zoo and didn't find him until I called him and met him at the gate at 4pm. So I didn't feel comfortable as of yet. Sorry Arv.
At least now we are kind of friends I guess and he just said to call and hook him up when we are in the city. Of course not like dating, just to talk and stuff about art. And I did enjoy my time. Next time, Ill follow the group.
