Description

I made these for thanksgiving today :D. There was another plate too.

Everyone loved em.

I used my Home Ec. recipe. I might post it later if you want to make some.

Only three are left.

Edit: Heres the recipe. Make sure you read throughly what ingredients you need and the steps beforehand. I am lazy not to list the ingreadients lol.

Step 1:
Mix together
3/4 C. butter
1 C brown surgar, packed

then add:
1 egg
1/4 Cup of molasses

Step 2:
Sift together into a seperate bowl
2 1/4 C. flour
2 t. baking soda
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. powdered ginger
1/t cloves
1/4 t. salt

Step 3:
Add dry ingredients to molasses mixture a little at a time until well combined. Chill for a few mins. Roll the dough into small balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Place on Greased cookie sheets; bake at 375 for 10-12 mins. Makes approximately 2 dozen cookies.

My added notes:

For mixing in general, its good use a folding method and the regular twirling motion. The folding method, is going underneth the dough and fliping over and then push it down. The stiring is like stirring a soup, only a bit faster than that. Throughout this whole recipe, I hand stirred with the plastic spatuala. After awhile, you may want to use a wooden spoon, since it gets harder eventually.

In step one, you have to wait until the ingredints are fully mixed together, which means, its should not show as much butter as before. The folding method is good for this part.

Then you can add your other wet ingredients. You can add the whole egg, just not the shell of course. Probably at this step, you can used both methods, since this is a bit wet. During this time you can switch back and forth doing step 3 and the mixing.

When your finish step three of course they say a little at a time, but you have to sift that into the wet ingredients as you stir it. It will get sticky, so heres the time to get out the wooden spoon and the folding method works well. YOUr arms will hurt, this is normal if you don't work out.

Pretty much everthing else is straight forward.
