Mastercopy Mary Cassatt

This a master copy of Mary Cassat pastel drawing. Its an assignement in figure drawing two, where we take a colored drawing of the masters, and copy it exactly. The theory is your getting into the artist's shoes, and understanding how this artist sees the drawing. Its also this type of thing has been done since the Renaissance days.

I realize there are small mistakes. Shoulder is smaller then the other then I realized in the picture, the face looks alot old and has change alot from the picture, and some of the smudging I did made it a bit muddy. But for all intents and purposes for now, its fine. I love what I did with the colors despite I didn't have a light blue color in my arsenal.

Tools: Pastel, and a fan brush for smoothing certain areas on (uncertain what type of brown paper). Workable fixative.
